Mwingi Central legislator Joe Mutambo has pleaded with  Kitui senator and the Wiper Chairman David Musila ti exit the party before he is locked out of Kitui gubertorial race in the coming August 8 general elections fillowing recent allegations that the party boss Kalonzo Musyoka prefers  the incumbent governor  over Musila.

It is during a recent on January  23,voter registration caravan in Kitui l,Kalonzo went on record to ask Musila to seek reelection as Kitui Senator and allow Governor Julius Malombe to go for a second term.

Senator Musila who seemed much angered by his boss’ plea was forced to withdraw from the voter registration drive motorcade.                                            Later that day,he called a press confrence in Kitui town and issued a bitter and strong worded statement.

” I do not need anyone’s go                ahead or support for my governor’s  bid.I will go to the electorate and            speak to them,” thundered Musila.

Mutambu  who was speaking in Mwingi East during a voter registration drive    said Musila  should see these early signs and ditch Wiper or risk being locked out of the contest

” I want to urge my friend Musila to exit Wiper because by the look of things right now he’ll be frustrated during nominations.”

Mutambu who decamped from Wiper to Uhuru led Jubelee Party reiterated that change of parties is the only way to survive in Kitui politics.
