“You didn’t introduce me to Kitui people,”Dr.Malombe tells Musila

KITUI Governor Dr. Julius Malombe has dismissed claims doing rounds that he rode on the popularity of his friend-turned -for Senator David Musila to ascend to the governor seat in 2013.

Musila is telling lies and total propaganda that he introduced me to Kitui people as governor aspirant and that he campaigned for me in 2013 elections. Its not true since it’s in public domain he fronted the former Kitui South MP Isaac Muoki,who was running against me in Wiper nominations,”said Malombe.

He said they only worked with Musila after after they were both nominated to run in Wiper ticket.

Musila who is running for governor has been going round in his campaigns apologising to Kitui people for convincing them to elect Malombe.

Musila who is the Wiper national chairperson will face Malombe in the Wiper primaries scheduled on Aprial 24.

KITUI incumbent senator David Musila has accused Kitui governor Dr.Julius Malombe of using the public resources and county personnel in his campaign.

Musila who has expressed his bid for Kitui governor’s seat will face Dr.Malombe in upcoming Wiper Party primaries.

“Dr.Malombe is using county resources in his campaigns. He is using sub county administrators,ward administrators,village administrators, ECDE teachersand senior county officials to drum for his support. He is also using county vehicles all fueled by  public funds of Kitui people,” said Musila.

Musila who was addressing the press in his Mwingi office said  Malombe’s move is against the Elections Act and he has written to Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission(IEBC) asking for necessary measures to be taken against the governor.

DG Kiala rubbishes Wavinya Ndeti’s Wiper deal

Machakos county Deputy Governor  and gubernatorial aspirant, Bernard Kiala, has dismissed the move by Wiper Party to issue the former Kathiani MP and the Machakos gubernatorial aspirant Wavinya Ndeti a Wiper direct ticket in August 8 elections. 

Kiala’s claims comes after it Wiper Party signed a pact with Ndeti’s CCU party locking out Kiala  who is also eyeing for Machakos governor’s seat.

Speaking at Mutituni market in Machakos,Kiala expressed his disappointment with the move saying the party has betrayed him.He challenged the Wavinya-Mathuki union to face it off with him at the ballot during the nominations.

Kiala  rubbished the deal in which he was promised a 30 per cent share in the county government, insisting that he must be on the ballot come August 8.

New political outfit formed in Kalonzo’s Ukambani stronghold

Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka is  a buffled man after a new political party called New Democrats Party in his Ukambani backyard has been launched.

The new political outfit formed by businessman David Masika was launched on Aprial Tuesday 11 in a  Nairobi Hotel.

Masika will face Makueni  Governor Kivutha Kibwana for the county top job in August 8 polls.

The successful businessman who is Kalonzo’s close friend had handed his nomination papers  to run for the governor seat on the Wiper ticket but made an about-turn after Kalonzo signed a pact with Kivutha Kibwana of Muungano party. Kalonzo-Kivutha’s deal seems not have gone well with Masika.              

”  My main reason for decamping Wiper is the type of pact between Wiper boss and Governor Kivutha where he has been assured a direct nomination ticket.So in a situation as this where does that leave me?”explained Masika.
Masika has however, said that his friendship with Kalonzo Musyoka remains intact and the launch of New Democrats has his blessings.                                            He said that his new party will be affiliated to NASA and will support the coalition’s presidential candidate regardless of who is picked as the flag bearer.

Makueni County Health Executive Dr. Andrew Mulwa who has dropped his bid for the senator seat.

MAKUENI senator aspirant Dr.Andrew Mulwa is out of the race after Wiper boss Kalonzo Musyoka and Makueni Governor Prof.Kivutha Kibwana urged him to do so.

Kalonzo and Kivutha  advised me to do so since my entry into the race will appear as if there is no unity in his Ukambani stronghold and could reduce his chances to be named the NASA flag bearer,”said Mulwa.

Dr.Mulwa is also the Health Executive in Makueni said was to challenge the current Makueni senator Mutula Kilonzo Jnr who is also the Wiper Vice Chairperson in the Wiper nominations.

Kalonzo out to teach Governor Mutua a lifetime lesson over defiance

Machakos county governor Dr.Alfred Mutua is reportedly said to be under siege following solid backing of Wavinya Ndeti by all the NASA affiliate parties to go for the governor’s seat.

Ndeti who decamped from her Chama Cha Uzalendo(CCU) and joined Wiper seems to have received Kalonzo Musyoka’s blessings to unseat Governor Dr.Alfred Mutua.

Mutua who risks loosing to Ndeti has recently been heard calling upon for his Deputy Governor Bernard Kiala for reunion.Thetwo fell apart just a year after their election in 2013 and have not been seeing an eye with each other since then.

Kiala who has expressed interest in unseating Mutua will now face Ndeti inthe Wiper primaries. He has said he will support Ndeti if he losses in the nominations and has asked Ndeti to do so if he beat her.

The Wiper leader’s open endorsement of Ndeti to face Mutua has been perceived as a way to stamp his authority as the Kamba kingpin over Mutua.

Kalonzo is out to teach Governor Mutua  a lesson of his lifetime after the latter formed his own party,Maendeleo Chap Chap.Mutuawho was elected on a Wiper ticket has demonstrated defiance by forming his own party and is now supporting reelection of President Uhuru Kenyatta.

Mutua will face Wavinya Ndeti and his former Chief of Staff Lemi Muia who has been fronted by the Jubelee Party in the August 8 polls.

Senator Muthama accused of betraying Kambas in search for NASA flag bearer!

Yatta MP Francis Mwangangi has accused Machakos Senator Johnstone Muthama of not pushing for interests of the Kamba community in the search of the NASA flag bearer.

Mwangangi who was speaking at a rally over the weekend in Ikombe in his constituency said if Wiper leader will not be named as NASA presidential candidate then Muthama will have failed  the Kamba community.

“If Kalonzo isn’t the NASA flag bearer Muthama is to blame. As a community, we believe Kalonzo is the best suited to go for the top seat among NASA principals,”said Mwangangi.

The outspoken legislator  condemned Muthama for pledging allegiance to Rails Odinga in stead of fighting for their very own.He said he doesn’t wish for NASA been up it should be put in black and white Muthama is trying to betray Kambas

“Muthama’s eyes are on Raila.He was picked to the position to negotiate for Kalonzo, Wiper Party and Kamba community. If Hon. Kalonzo misses it we will put it on Muthama,” said Mwangangi.
